NKD. Got one of my favorite knives ever! I don’t see them in here so hopefully they aren’t taboo.

I’ve never understood this knife… what are the advantages / use? I’m not trying to be a dick

Before anyone rips on this blade. Story time. I had a patient on a construction site that got wrapped up in some bad steel wire from what I believe to be scaffolding. My trauma shears (NAR) literally snapped as I tried freeing this man’s leg. When my partner when to get some better tools I decided to try this blade that I was carrying. I sawed away at the wire and no shit a few seconds later the wire was cut and the gentleman was loose. A few days later I lost this on a car accident call and never got a new one, but truly one of the best blades I’ve ever carried.

I have one and I’ll tell ya what it’s the sharpest knife I’ve ever used straight from factory wow, i was closing it and somehow it took a nice chunk off my finger with out me feeling a damn thing absolutely ridiculous how it did this, but I do think it’s a fantastic knife especially for a first responder it will cut seatbelts with ease .. love mine keep it in the truck for emergencies

  5. I’ve got the Byrd version. I love it. It’s not as great for precision slicing as most blades, but if you just need to quickly get through a bunch of material, it’s fantastic.

I think it looks cool also are those Rick and Morty’s glow in the dark!?

  7. I honestly love these, but shudder thinking about sharpening one

is it similar to the atlantic/pacific salt? i find myself almost exclusively using serrated blades and was gonna get one before too long.

  9. Got myself one in yellow last year when I passed my NREMT to celebrate. Always wanted one, but told myself if I was to have one, id have to be a first responder first.

Very very cool folder. Just saw the instructional video on it. The squeeze the blade functionality while closed to reveal the carbide glass breaker is pretty genius. But the fact that it has a stop at 45 deg to use the blade as a very effective scissor is just freaking incredible. Shame it’s discontinued!

    But, what bag/backpack is it?
