I remember when I was a kid I lived a couple blocks away from an army surplus store that carried Bench Made. This was like the early ’90s or late 80s and I used to ride my bike up there and look at them but obviously wasn’t old enough to buy them.
When I finally grew up and got adult money I bought my first which was a 940 in like 2007. I have 6 Benchmade knives now among close to 20 premium knives – all folders. The 940 is in my pocket right now and it is paper shredding sharp.
Probably the best hard use work knife out there. The thing is a tank.
Put this and the Hogue Ritter RSK on my Christmas wishlist… hopefully I’ll get one of them.
