I have never understood what good a knife made for stabbing is supposed to be without a handguard

Very nice!!!
These are great knives. I have one in stag and it is very snappy.

I have this exact one. Got it for a steal on PVK a dozen or more years back. Absolutely love it!

I have one of these. The blade shape really isn’t the most practical thing ever and as EDC goes this really ain’t it, especially if sliciness matters much to you.
That said, it’ll open envelopes and boxes and bags just fine, the lockup is solid, and the action is deeply satisfying. For a lot of us, that’s a doable combination.
I got one of these last year with a wood handle and the bottle/can opener bits.
It is really cool, but mine quit locking reliably when I open it. Opens up just fine, quite forcefully, but the lock doesn’t actually grab the blade most of the time. Like it bounces out of position before it locks.
Locks up just fine if you nudge it the rest of the way or flick your wrist, but that kinda defeats the purpose.
I have no idea what could possibly fix it, since the knife is riveted together and can’t be disassembled. Oddly it locks more reliably (not 100% though) with one spring removed, which lends some credence to my “bounces out of position before lock engages” theory.
I sent an email to Mikov but never got a response.
