Great (bleak as fuck) book
You, ma’am are in for a treat because THAT just happens to be my favorite book. McCarthy is an amazing writer but parts of The Road are pure poetry while the story itself is a thrilling page turner.

Kind of tangential I guess, but how is dancing for a living in New York these days? The last time I knew anyone that did it, it was a crazy career, all full of auditions and then exhausting practice interspersed with periods of no work at all. It always seems like such a cool form of art to make a living at (and I’m a little envious of dancers and their ability to move their bodies with such grace tbh).
If you don’t feel like answering that, no worries, it’s kinda off topic from your post, so it isn’t like that’s what you came here for.
The Road is such a good book.
