A while ago I modded my M21F to have magnetic charging. Then S21F happens to have the exact host layout in terms of buttons and ports. So I did the same mod to the S21F. A USB-C magnetic dongle can be plugged into the recessed USB-C port and some silicone sealant is used around the port to a water tight seal. Charging is really simple. Grab the magnetic charging cable and approach the port, it will stick to it and start charging right away. The mod is reversable since you can unplug the dongle (with quite a bit of force) and clean the silicon sealant without too much effot. It should be doable for M21E, M21F, M21D? and S21F. Charging current is at 1.8A so it’s still fairly fast.

Almost looks factory! A bit iffy without a flap, but there are quite a few lights with exposed magnetic charging I guess. I wonder if they have some extra protection to deal with potential ESD and such. Do you think it has any water resistance at all? Having moisture going down into the USB port wouldn’t end very well I imagine.

What’s advantage comparing to plain usb-c? Ability to plug in with one hand?
