Several makers put these out, generally China, occasionally Pakistan. Depending on where it was bought, retail was probably $12 a $25. These are not valuable, not practical, not collectible, but fun and interesting. The fact that it’s tied to a family member makes it cool, but you will find in this sub, you will get shit on for even touching it. Novelty knives are a pleasant, inexpensive way to enjoy a hobby without breaking the bank to impress the internet. I have boxes full of neat, interesting novelty blades that make me happy, but are in no way capable of carrying every day. Edit: spelling.

To be brutally honest, it’s almost certainly a crappy knife.
Do not let this sway you though, grandpas are awesome and if this is your first knife then you will probably grow a connection with it regardless of quality. Maybe buy yourself a nice knife one day but don’t get rid of this knife.
Grandpas are fucking awesome so that is hereby the best knife in your collection from now to the end of civilization.
