This is a much more conventional Wave clone from Nextool, especially compared to their popular tri-wing Flagship and Black Knight designs. Actually, since it appears to have the same 3″ sheep’s foot blade from the Flagship this might be more in the neighborhood of a Surge clone.
Beyond being a fairly standard Chinese-made Wave variant which scissors in place of the serrated blade, it’s a little notable in that the pliers are spring-loaded and it’s ditched the rectangular-socket phillips driver for what appears to be Leatherman (?) compatible bits. The only obvious negatives I see are the lack of ruler markings and the fact that it doesn’t invert the long tools like the Multiforce to cure the “Wave Pinch” problem. However, judging from the video it might be pinch-proof anyway.
No word yet on pricing but sub $50 would be my guess.
Also, what’s with Nextool’s boneheaded naming scheme? They’ve got both the “Black Knight” and the “Knight,” which are completely different tools, and now there’s the “Flagship Captain” which is a totally different concept from their weird [“Captain Gulp”](https://youtu.be/jNBAKr8zXKw) monotool.

Nextool to Leatherman. “Look at me. I’m the captain now.”

You know you’re the shit when everyone is ripping off your designs and selling them for less than half of what you charge, and you respond by increasing your price by another $10, lol.
