  1. If I don’t have one in the mail, I don’t have happiness

The dogs barked around noon. I looked outside and saw a box on my doorstep. It had a lithium battery warning sticker on it. Pure excitement… but I didn’t remember ordering a light this week. Opened it up…. Spare battery for our little vacuum. Instant sadness.

  3. My wife laughed and made a pun, I’m assuming that means she approves.

    Depressed? Brighten up!

I used to think that buying the latest gadgets, clothes, or other material possessions would bring me happiness, but I’ve come to realize that true happiness comes from within. It’s not about the things we own or how much money we have in the bank, but rather our inner sense of peace, purpose, and fulfillment.

Sure, buying things can bring temporary pleasure, but it’s fleeting and doesn’t provide long-lasting satisfaction. It’s important to focus on things that truly matter, like building meaningful relationships, pursuing our passions, and helping others. These are the things that bring true joy and happiness.

So, let’s all try to shift our focus away from meaningless purchases and towards the things that really matter. Let’s invest in ourselves, our relationships, and our communities. That’s where true happiness lies.
