Always look at the blade edge. If it’s made of folded Damascus steel, you should see the layers in the edge.

It might be a bird or trout style knife. Since others are not finding it on the Orvis site it was probably from a batch of knives in the past. You may want to reach out to Orvis or visit a location near you, if one is in traveling distance.
On another note I stopped at their Sandanona location in the past and they had one or two custom hand made knives in the store.

As a fly fisherman and knife enthusiast, this excites me. Probably worth a good bit between the two hobbies.

I would re etch it so we could have a clearer view of the Damascus

If it’s damascus, it needs to be re-etched. Looks like carbon steel to me.
I also can’t find it anywhere online from Orvis
That doesn’t look anything like Damascus to me. Just looks like a patina.
It’s probably not Damascus. Anything Orvis is pricey.
It’s not Damascus. It’s just patina and wear which looks better imo 🙂
Nah its not just patina it clearly have this folding lines / Damascus lines if u look at the second picture:)
What’s on the other side? Any markings? Kelgin?
Not the same knife, but also a Damascus fixed blade labeled for Orvis. It was made by [Charlton LTD](https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/charlton-ltd-bird-trout-damascus-402600611).
