TS30S Pro
TS30S Pro has arrived. This is the first and only prototype version but aside from the missing engraving it is the same as the production version shipping out. There is freezing rain and ice everywhere here tonight so no beamshots until tomorrow and/or Sunday night.
On paper the TS30S Pro is less than 10mm wider than the TS30S but in person it looks much more.
Fewer but deeper fins and a shapelier profile make the Pro version a real looker!
That fantastic switch from the FC13 and TS11 makes its third appearance. Easy to find by touch, easy to use, and easy on the eyes.
The new battery tube looks great and feels great.
With all the time I heard they were taking to get the reflector just right, I was surprised by how ringy the spill is. The center spot is not as defined or as small as the original but the corona is not as wide compared to the center spot
While the center spot is no where as clean as the original, there is a section in the center where the beam really peaks it’s brightest. Almost a center spot inside a center spot inside the corona
This wall shot pics were taken with each at less than half output in order for the camera to capture the center spot and corona. In person it is much more visible. Do not judge brightness of one versus the other in these two pics.
