    Instead of a single, mostly unused tool, they made it into a super useful multi use tool. Not to mention the Philips head screwdriver is probably the most popular tool in anyone’s toolbox.

    Probably because it is a great way to impale your hand every time you go in to your pocket.

    Edit: For clarity here, I do think this is a good idea, it was just poorly executed. If there was a way to tuck the bit out of the way when not needed then this would be awesome.

    Seems way more useful to me. Realistically when am I ever going to need a glass breaker on a pocket knife

    Doesn’t it need a ceramic tip in order for it to really be a glass breaker? Otherwise it’s just pointy.

    Meh, I mean it’s an idea I understand, but I think a 1/4” driver hole (with a magnet goddammit) would be best, then you can just use whatever bit you want.

    I just see my hand catching it every time I put my hand in my pocket, or every time I sit it digs into my leg.

    Same, I bought a crkt m16 13z to someone and he added a glass breaker at the same place on the knife. Usefull
