Just posted in r/Hanklights but thought I could share here too.
New firmware:
Let’s start with the thing I’m most excited about. After trying out [this Andúril fork](https://github.com/starryalley/Anduril2) by u/starryalley I wanted to get it on all my lights (it’s just that good), including the KR1. But since the BattCheck and TempCheck used the aux LEDs I couldn’t check my battery voltage in my KR1. I then got in contact with u/starryalley and now, just a few days later he released a [noaux](https://github.com/starryalley/Anduril2/releases/tag/release_20230304) version for lights that doesn’t use aux LEDs!!! (Now all my Hanklights runs on his fork) So all the amazing features remains and I can check my battery on my KR1.(you can still get the regular version for the D1V2 because then you see BattCheck on the backlit button). If you haven’t checked his Andúril fork out, I highly encourage you to do so. ESPECIALLY if you have a dual channel light. Having tint ramping 3H + instant channel switching 5C + middle of ramp 8H directly available alone is worth it. Not to mention stepped tint ramping, the beautiful candle mode configurations, fireworks mode and the use of aux LEDs while main emitters are on. Button mod:
When I got my first KR1 my only problem with it was the button. It didn’t feel nearly as good as my TS10 but then discovered [this guide](https://youtu.be/R72PQYB7_t8) by u/-Cheule- on how to improve the button. Let’s just say that after doing the mod on my KR1 I no longer prefer the button on my TS10. And now doing the mod again on my new Noctigons was such a breeze after asking Hank not to put any glue in the tailcaps!
New lights:
• Emisar D4V2 e17a 1850k.
It’s just ridiculous. u/starryalley ‘s candle mode and girlfriend is happy. Custom ordered the white just a few days after Hank released the new colors for the D4V2.. but I think it turned out cool tho and the warm white switch looks really good.
• Noctigon KR4 boost driver 519a 4500k DD.
Just lovely. I’m a guy that prefers the KR4 over the D4, such a clean design, feel, phenomenal pocket clip and the button feels amazing after the mod. I just wish it costed the same as the D4. This one is riding in my pocket!
• Noctigon KR1 boost driver XHP70.3 Hi 3000k.
Well.. KR1 is the most attractive light out there I think, even more so with this big emitter + op reflector, nothing bad to say here. Super excited to try the xhp70.3 outside.
