So I have this kershaw onion and the screw head for the clip is stripped. Does anyone know how I can get it out without damaging the frame?

Please help me!! ;(

There are sets of bits with a reverse thread used to pull out stripped screws.

Another option is to use a deemed cut of disc, cut a flat groove in it and use a flathead scre driver to remove it. Often these are put in with loctite thread locker. A heat gun can help loosen that glue as well. Good luck!

Dremel cut off disc. Stupid auto correct

  3. The easiest way would probably be to use a hacksaw blade to cut a slot through the top and use a flat screwdriver.

If you had a bit that fit you might be able to get it by sticking a rubber band over the hole and using the bit.

They are torx #6. Try taking a #7 and tap it into the screw to reset it to the #7. If that doesn’t work, try one of the options above.

You can purchase a screw extractor at harbor freight. I used it to back out a super small screw that the head broke off of. If it can work for that, this would be a cake walk for it. Look up videos online first so you know how it works. It’s very easy.

Use a dreamel disk cut a slot in it and use a flat head done it on a motorcycle several times

Very carefully… Either find you a very small screw extractor. Might work. Cut a slot in the top of the screw and use a flat head. Most likely will work

If the stripped heads are shaped a bit more hexagonal ot octagonal i would recommend trying to unscrew with appropriate bits. If not then i would follow the instructions left by other people.

The head is sticking out. Why don’t you just use a pair of pliers on the outside of the head? You can replace the screw. They’ll have to come to a fine point, but it looks like it should work.

This is going to sound dumb, but, get some super glue and some baking powder. Drop of super glue in the hole. Bit of baking powder rinse and repated until enough grip is achieved. Use a screwdriver you don’t really care about to set the shape. Let it dry. It’ll be as strong to remove the screw as the screw itself was.
