So black micarta wont dye a different color? What do you all think?

So I decided to go with brown to dye my black micarta scales on the Peña Dogleg. I added a little red to it as well to get a rosewood color as best as I could. I let it dry overnight and I’m happy with the results. Glad I decided to go against my recommendations on this one bc it came out just as I imagined, even a little better. I did a light sanding on the black Micarta to expose a little more of the “white” areas. What do you guys think?
