Hey guys,
I figured to better to ask than the community itself. I am looking to stock some 18650s in my store with the intended purpose of pairing them with Convoy S2+ lights. I think this will lower the barrier of entry to the S2+, and it has even been directly recommended from my customer base.

The issue is…well we all know the issue, as soon as there is changing thrown on top of the battery the “65” part of the 18650 goes right out the window.
I purchases some really nice batteries for this purpose and they are just plain old too big.
Long story short, can anyone recommend an 18650 W/ USB-C charging that will fit and work in a Convoy S2+.
I am asking because I would love to buy some in bulk and sell them in my store. Yes.

In the mean time, I might as well count this as a marketing post.

Unlikely to happen. For that smaller shorter cell needs to exist, like 14430 for 14500, but it does not.
Also what’s so sweet about that 2.6Ah batteries which do not even have higher CDR because that is limited by protection circuit, when vapcell is selling 3.8Ah and 4Ah ones?
I used to use powerkeep built in charging 18650s in my convoys back in the day. They are tough on the spring but they work.
I am using the USB-C rechargeable Nermak 18650 from Amazon. They are rated 3200ma but test to 2600ma. Measure 70mm long. I am using them in three S2+ and one S6, with larger button tail cap compatible with lighted switches. They power the 5 amp buck and stock drivers on highest settings.
In the S2+ I own with the older tail cap and smaller button, it is thicker. I did convert the tail cap with smaller button and struggled to get lighted button to protrude far enough to be usable. I did a lot of machining and filing to get switch to sit deep enough.
I don’t know if this is the definitive answer to what battery will fit in what version of S2+. I can only state my observations.
