This is a great light overall. It takes the successful H04RC or H300 formula but upgrades it to a dual 519A, available in 4500K and 3000K, as well as a single XP-E2 red (620-630nm) configuration. There’s also cool white XP-G4 if you’re after lumens above all else.
The pocket clip is a massive improvement over the H04RC. It’s reversible so you can deep carry the light in the head-down position. It also doesn’t block the emitters in any position.
The UI isn’t great. It’s not a proper dual channel light like the marketing blurbs would suggest, as would be the case with Andúril. Instead, you have only two levels for the red light, plus a strange white+red mode, the purpose of which illudes me. The red light is also used for the slow blinking mode, which is fine, but also the SOS mode… wouldn’t you want the SOS mode to be as visible as possible? Why is it red?
ESKTE is still a stupid name. If you want it to be pronounced S-K-T, just name it SKT.
