Howdy y’all. I’m looking to buy a new EDC for under $100 and the Qubit is one of the options that has my attention. (Any recommendations welcomed).
So my questions are… Can the scales be swapped as I’m not a fan of the purple? And is the S35VN a worthwhile improvement over the 14C28N?

I don’t think it’s a popular enough model that anyone has made aftermarket scales for it.
Your best option might be to buy 2, put the scales you like on this one and sell the other on r/Knife_Swap .
Is it worth it? To me, probably not. 14C28N is good enough and easier to sharpen.
Both steels are quality so I’d just buy the one you like, or buy two and do a blade swap if s35vn is something you just can’t live without.
You can probably find used ones pretty cheap on eBay or the knife swap sub here
You could buy one of both steels and get the 14c one in the color you want and scale swap them. Then you can just keep the 14c one as a beater knife
