It’s a Japanese style that’s been around since the days of the Samurai. A lot of katanas did not have a guard, and the tanto daggers followed the same style. I have no idea if it has a proper name.

Those aren’t traditional, but the ‘real’ term is I believe aikuchi. If it has a curve it’s a wakizashi. You will find them sold as aikuchi tanto or shirasaya tanto (the shirasaya is the “sheath”). I’m no scholar, but that will get you where you’re going I think.
