Forged these from 01 tool steel. Flat over hollow grind at 27.5 degrees. Rounded spines to be kind to the thumbs during push cuts.
Handle is flamed oak with African Blackwood bolsters.
Sloyd knives aren’t a super mainstream knife as they are used to carve green (fresh) wood into spoons, bowls, broomsticks, etc.
These are a blast to make and run well, so we’re stoked on em.
