I’ve carried a benchmade mini griptiliian for years, upgraded to an Ultratech, loved it but wanted something a bit beefier and more substantial. I was set on a Mictrotech Scarab until I saw the Socom Alpha mini (3.75 inch fixed blade). I wanted to get the Scarab to replace my Ultratech, but I’m now considering carrying a fixed blade AND my Ultratech. Ultratech for quick cuts and not to intimidate people around me, fixed blade as a bulletproof backup and to use for more heavy tasks. Any thoughts on this matter? I feel crazy for wanting to carrying 2 knives lol. Photo is my current Ultratech and the Socom Mini that caught my eye

    Totally normal…
I also carry EDC and a Fixblade sometimes…
Not everyday but from time to time its that day for 2 knives…😉

I’m pretty much a one knife at a time guy, but I can see why some would want two. Some days, I carry a folder, some a fixed. All my fixed blades are small enough that I remove the clips and pocket them.

I appendix carry a fixed blade opposite of my gun and have a folder mossst the time. I don’t even notice the fixed blade most the time.

Yup, buck 110 and a buck 119. Or as I call it, my buck 229

  6. Folder in my pocket and scout carry one of 4 inch fixed blades. The folder is for anything small the fixed is for bigger stuff or if i had to do any emergency response type thing. I worked rescue for 8 years its just a habit.
