Olight Arkfeld vs. Arkfeld Pro
I have been carrying the regular Arkfeld since February, and love it- however, I wanted to have the ability to have both the laser and flashlight on simultaneously, a feature of the Arkfeld Pro. After carrying the Pro for a week, here’s my thoughts:\
Arkfeld Pro:\
-Unavailable in NW color temp if you want this green body color. Also, the body color does not completely match its Arkfeld counterpart.\
-Beam is almost completely a flood, which is fine, but I much prefer the beam pattern of the regular Arkfeld, which is more of a spot but still has the cover of a flood.\
-The intensity of the green laser is far superior to that of the regular Arkfeld, which is very helpful in brighter environments (I use the laser pointer multiple times while at work). I imagine this is because the Pro allows you to use the flashlight and laser pointer simultaneously.\
-the Pro’s UI is customizable, I was able to match it to the regular Arkfeld’s process of turning on Turbo mode and strobe.\
-The UV light is more of a novelty for me, however, it is surprisingly powerful. If you have kids with a lot of glow in the dark items, especially in their rooms at night, they’ll love it. Shining it around your seemingly clean bathroom is quite horrifying, however.\
-The Pro has a two-way, deep-carry pocket clip, which I very much appreciate. The regular Arkfeld has a decent clip but sits too far out of the top of your pocket to my liking.\
