found this old switchblade in my grandfathers old house. is this rare? and can anyone tell me about this knife?

I can say its not a switchblade… no button and there’s a nail nick in the vlade to open it.
Looks like a flea market/gas station knife. I have one similar from the 80s. Cheap steel, pot metal bolsters, acrylic handle scales. Not rare, not valuable – unless it holds sentimental value for you.
That’s not a switchblade knife. See the indent on the blade. That’s where you put yur finger nail to open the knife. It’s a slip joint knife made to resemble a switchblade. It looks like a novelty blade..sold as a souvenir or promotion for the TV show.
