Had wanted one of these for a long time & managed to score two for $40. The top one is the 1.4116 variant (running on bearings) & the bottom has 8CR with bronze & teflon washers.
What’s really great about these knives is not just that they’re budget friendly, but how easy they are to maintain & adjust. The design also lends itself to make adjustments with a simple flathead driver or even your thumb! I plan on using the 8CR variant as my daily beater & the 1.4116 version for outdoors (given its corrosion resistance being greater than 8CR). Sweet blade TBH. RIP Kit Carson.
BTW, interesting fact, /u/ben_banters used to work at CRKT and was planning on doing a documentary on Kit… Sadly he passed away before that happened.
