It’s building up a almost sticky-ish brown patina on the blade, best way to clean?

It´s Pakistani, so if you clean the blade you will remove the etch from the “damascus” . You can re-etch it later with a light acidic solution.

Soak the blade in evaporust. It’s a non acid based rust cleaner. Keep handle out of it because it will affect the finish. Should take about 15-20 minutes. Wash, dry, and oil after.
