I had a Slimmy wallet for 10 years but the pocket got loose and this weekend I lost my credit card and ID. [The design](https://www.slimmy.xyz/products/og-x-1-pocket-wallet-73mm-antique) leaves the cards open to the air and make them prone to slipping out, especially after the pockets have stretched.
Can you recommend a wallet that:
* is as slim as possible – don’t need single-slots for cards, don’t need padded leather (eg [Popov](https://www.popovleather.com/collections/leather-wallets) looks too thick)
* is designed so cards don’t slip out and don’t rely on just friction to stay in. I like the look of [Pioneer Ion](https://pioneercarry.com/collections/cardholders/products/ion-bifold)
* ideally leather but happy to consider any material
* I don’t like the design of card holders like Ridge

I’ve been rocking the Bellroy slim sleeve wallet for a couple of years now and I’m very happy with it.
There may be slimmer wallets out there, but your cards wont slip off and the leather feel is excelent.
Do you have a specific budget? There are some really great options in leather and carbon fiber
Trayvax has a lot of cool options.
Something with a snap might work for you. This basically has 2 ‘compartments’ – one holds a few cards (4-6ish) and the other is a good place for some bills or whatever. Slim strap goes over both and snaps.

Chums Surf Short Wallet. It has a zippered compartment for cards, a second one for cash, a clear window for your ID, and a slip in pocket that I use for quick access to my most used credit card.
I’ve never had any issues with the card sliding out of the slip pocket unless I hold it up side down and tap it on something like I’m packing a pack of cigarettes.
With my ID, 6 other cards, and like 8-10 bills it’s still really compact.
Magpul DAKA, two years and I can’t see carrying anything else.
