Bought this Rosie on the secondary and honestly it has had an unknown number of previous owners.

The action was meh when I got it. Saw something oozing from the pivot area and discovered one of the previous owners decided that grease would be a good lubricant. What a f*cking mess! Who would use grease with caged bearings?

First thing I did was to disassemble and deep clean the entire thing with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Reassemble and back to a smooth action. I might use a drop of Tuf-Glide to lube at some point, but it runs fine dry with the ceramic bearings.

Wondering what other Rosie owners use to maintain the smooth action?

  1. Blasphemy! I let the Cookies ‘n Cream bearings do their thing.

Sadly a lot of people think throwing lube at a knife will fix everything from bad action to lock stick.
