I prefer a light I can operate one handed.
That Fenix is a quality light, so good on your job for not giving you junk, but they make newer versions of the PD40R that have much more traction on the ring, so you can hold and operate it with one hand.
Only other thing I’ve heard about the PD40R model, is I read a review where they tested the low voltage protection, and the flashlight was relying on the battery’s internal protection only, which is a little wild for an otherwise quality brand…
I don’t know what you’re inspecting though. If you need to see really accurate color detail, Fenix in general isn’t the greatest. They’d need to grab you something like an Acebeam E75 with Nichia 519a 5000K LEDs in it for better color rendering. For bigger, just being able to see, purposes though, the 70ish CRI of the Fenix is fine.
