I didn’t know anyone needed a titanium box cutter for $600. Since it’s a restock, I guess it certainly wasn’t me.

  1. I hate the price but I gotta say I do love the design. And embarrassingly I have to admit that if it were in the $100-$150 range I’d probably buy one

  2. Fruit-Flies113

It’s a small shop in Idaho so I can see why it’s so expensive.

My buddy works for L and S logistics which pretty much is a middleman processor for knives ( long story short he said even the high end bench made /spyderco have a 6-10.00 manufactured cost . If they are not handmade it’s literal Pennie’s/the largest cost for handmade knives is workers hourly rate but apparently a knife maker puts out 3-5 knives an hour
    Blade placement
    Spring screws handle attachment
    Box and plastic
    Print sku label.

Sorry for the rant but knowing what I know it’s infuriation

  4. It’s a USA made small batch knife. This is on par with pretty much every other small batch USA made knife. The cheapest utility knife will cut the exact same. Just like a cheap Casio will tell the time as food (if not better) than a Rolex. It’s a premium that people pay for an appreciation of the craft/designer(s).
