I just realized that if you hit the switch while the blade is obstructed, it simply doesn’t extend all the way, and you can reset it by pulling up on the blade, so (theoretically) it wouldn’t do any significant damage to someone if it opened near them
You’ll have to check local, state, and federal laws for your location. Some places that’s completely legal and others very illegal.
For reference, it’s called an Out the Front (OTF) automatic knife.

So for real, where do you live? Search ” switch blade laws in “your home state/city”
This will tell you if it’s legal to own, or carry a switchblade.
Its nothing fancy or high end, but it’s legal where you are.
Indiana resident here…its legal these days.

Some places have different laws regarding switch blades, if you’re area doesn’t have laws against them, you’re fine
