First time ever attempting a dedome was a bit of a failure lol
After watching 1 video on it i sharpened a q tip shaft and started poking around the perimeter of the dome. Sadly the yellow part popped off too and now it doesn’t work.
Any advice for if i try again?
Anyone ever done this to an archer mini? Ive done a lot of looking around and havnt seen anyone modify one.
The lens came off pretty easily when i made the correct tool for it. The damage to the bezel is from trying with just snap ring pliers.

Yes, don’t try it again. Only the Nichia 519A can be dedomed this way. The Archer Mini has a Luminus SST-20.
Shouldn’t be a difficult repair, all you need is a new 3535 LED, soldering iron, and a stove. Also, the SST20 can be dedomed but you have to slice the dome off really carefully.
