I have this older ZL headlamp. It’s about 10 years old, but it has less than 10 hours of use on it. I found it in storage and a battery had leaked inside the case, but the corrosion did not make contact with either of terminals.

I reached out to ZL and they were not able to help me fix it. They told me to scrap the corrosion off, which I had already done. Their next suggestions was to pay $20 for a service on it and that it would take 3-4 months. Which, I’d rather put the $25-30 towards a new light. In all honesty, their customer service was very poor and I will avoid their products going forward.

However, if I can save this one that would be amazing. When I pulled it out of storage and put a new battery in it, the light did work. But, three days later when turning it on the light would only blink and then die. I’ve tried new batteries. I’d scrapped the corrosion as much as I could.
