I bought some 18650 & 14500 protected cells probably 10 years ago and some of them are just now failing to hold a charge. What are you guys buying these days in the 18560 and 14500 sizes? Also, my charger isn’t that great so an inexpensive charger recommendation would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I use an Xtar BC8S. 8 slots. Thay also have a nice 4-slot charger – VC4SL. The Vapcell chargers are also popular.
14500 batteries – Vapcell H10 and F12. I use the F12 for the higher capacity.
18650 – I use the Molicel M35A. You will for sure get other battery recommendations.
I buy from either the 18650 Battery Store (Georgia) or Liion Wholesale Batteries in Penn.
