    I don’t like the chalky finish that I seem to run into on cerakoted aluminum. So I’m with you on this.

    Yeah, the anodization on the aluminum scratches up too easily. Plus if you drop your aluminum scaled knife on something hard like concrete it’ll gouge it making a rough surface. G10, Micarta, and Titanium, Wood and Bone are my go to. Although wood and bone you need to be careful with.

    Agree that the aluminum can scratch very easily, I usually like it because it adds stability with less weight. I focus on weight more than most, since I’m wearing running pants or athletic shorts most of the time.
    But think this is one of those topics for “whatever works for you”.

    It’s awesome that the last few years the number of knife customizing options has exploded, giving us a better chance to collect a knife that best fits each person.
