Kershaw bel air – $200 msrp, MagnaCut, aluminum handles, DuraLock, purchased brand new for $117.

Benchmade bugout – $200 msrp, s30v, grivory handles, axis lock, purchased brand new for $135

Kershaw blew benchmade out of the water with the Bel Air. Now I know you cannot compare s30v to MagnaCut, and aluminum handles to grivory handles, but come on, $117 for the Belair with aluminum handles, MagnaCut, and DuraLock??? Now benchmade does not make a bugout in magna cut with aluminum handles but they do make an Osborne, msrp is $300 though 😂😂. Don’t get me wrong, I really like benchmade and have not hopped on the “I hate benchmade bandwagon, but their prices are shit. Everything about the Belair is better than the bugout. (Not including blade steel in this.) DuraLock is so much smoother, the aluminum feels great in hand. The knife just feels so much more well put together.

The bugout is a great knife, but for the price they’re selling at, absolutely not. They feel cheap, the axis lock constantly gets caught up on itself even after lubing it, loosening it, and using it lol. They’re worth $80 at most.
