Just got this used German Army SAK. It was blunt, with broken serrations so I ground them off and reprofiled a plain edge. The hinges of the saw and blade worked fine beforehand, but after sharpening I could hear some grit in the hinges.

Washed in warm soapy water, dried, and hinges now are really stiff no grit left, but they really stick just past the 90 degree mark. I doused it in lansky honing oil, but there’s no difference.

Any help much appreciated!
