Spring assisted opener. Safety lock to prevent opening in pocket etc. ; what I found very neat is when blade is in open position the lock can slide towards the Axis lock/ pivot and this essentially locks the blade into place making it stronger like a fixed blade. Very interesting design. It’s a beefy knife in magnacut 60-62 hardness. Got a little weight to it 5.23 oz.
