The D4K is really compact, I’m thinking of buying one, now I only have to decide the configuration

So, the new 2022 Lume1 or LumeX whatever driver, how is it? It’s true that the moonlight mode is so low that it’s basically invisible unless you stick your eye right in there in pitch darkness. For reference, setting the moonlight to level 1 in the D4K boost driver is a little too bright to be called a true moonlight, in my opinion. I’d still recommend the boost driver for any Hank quad, mind you, it’s just that Loneocean has shown that it can be done much better. For these lights, I set the moonlight level to 8 or 10/150 in order to actually see any amount of useful light.

In terms of max output, both are bright as all hell on turbo, so bright that pointing them at a white wall indoors can be blinding. I’ll need to do some outside testing after it gets dark. Both have a “step” in the output when going from level 149 to 150 (max regulated level to FET turbo). They use different kind of optics, so the E12R’s hotspot isn’t too different in size from the E07x Pro despite the larger head with more LEDs. Both are quite nice and floody.

One thing I don’t like about these Firefly things is the knurling on the body. It’s just too soft and slippery to be useful compared to Hank’s checkering. The clip could also be a deep carry clip, but it’s not. The button is mediocre on both of these, stiff and mushy, with an unsatisfying muffled click. It actually makes Andúril things like 10H quite annoying to pull off. Hank’s button with the raised ring is much nicer in every way, except maybe looks, but that’s subjective.

Just realized I didn’t mention I picked 519A for both of these lights. E07x Pro is in 5000K, E12R is in 5700K
