My boss knows nothing about knives and this was his gift to me. Is this really m390?? This might be one of my new favorites.

Your boss knows nothing about knives and gifts you a micro tech??!! That’s pretty crazy.. I would expect someone who doesn’t know knives to give like a clamshell packaged Kershaw from Cabela’s.
Fakeeeeeeee!!! Lol Im kidding and it’s sexy that’s for sure. Just get a diamond stone and a strop and just make sure you maintain the edge. Knowing how to maintain the edge properly is more important than the steel itself 🤷

Nice! I got a blue Ultratech for Christmas! Very awesome knife, your boss has very nice taste when it comes to gifts. A gifted gift giver, if you will.
One of my ultra techs is 204p
No complaints here holds an edge well and came sharp from the factory.

Microtech is expensive but they do not lie about their materials or process. Unlike some brands I could mention……

If you’re asking because it says 204p, yes, sort of. 204p is from Carpenter and M390 comes from Bohler. They have nearly the same makeup with 204p have a bit more of a few composition materials. In short, yeah, and Microtech even says something to the effect of “you knife might say 204p or m390, it’s the same thing”

Hell of a gift from a boss! Nice knife, I’ve had a couple microtech. I’m not a big fan of OTF, but they’re fun to get fidgety with and I love double edges.
This makes me boss even more of a dick
