Honestly even tho I’m sure the steel is junk, the edge bevel grind on this is so much cleaner than the $250 fixed blade I bought last month…
Knives are a tool, yes. But they give us joy for so many other reasons too. When i see that blade, I see a cherished family heirloom. You clearly are a blessed uncle 🙂

I’d be honored to receive that as a gift from my niece. Hell I think it’s a pretty knife. I really like the wood with the dark Damascus pattern. She did good. And also I probably would’ve cried upon opening that and reading the handle.
