Here’s an image of the spine. They’re Laguiole style, old, bone, horn and Damascus. I’ve never seen anything like them and have no idea what they are used for. https://i.imgur.com/NnM1z1V.jpg

  2. Could be Citrus knives as well.

Being Damascus is odd for that though.

Those are the largest Texas toothpicks I’ve ever seen. What in the world.

People are commenting on the contradictory design elements of this melon sampler Laguiole toothpick. All things are possible when made in Pakistan.

That there is a Westcott ruler. Haven’t seen one since my grandpa skinned a buck with his in Colorado.

These are two large folders and a ruler

I’ve heard these called watermelon knive.

They look like long toothpick style knives. Any markings? I like them.

Melon knife, as everyone else has mentioned, is correct. I used a very similar knife daily when I worked with produce.

I believe those are antique (or at least antique style) skrimshaws. They are a type of old whittling knife.

These were in the SMKW and Atlanta Cutlery catalogs in the 80s. I believe they were French and marketed for self defense, but you cannot deploy them quickly. Very similar in design to a melon tester knife.

  13. Back in my day we’d call those “Ol’ Jonny Longpeckers”

I’m just kidding I have no idea

I have one that’s not as fancy. They calling it a lettuce/cabbage knive or vegetable knife too

  15. If a knife were a dog, this knife would be a Borzoi.
