  2. Oak city leather field notes binder, random copper coin, big idea design brass bolt action mini, Seiko SZSB018. Im 33 and expecting my first girl. I like to write down quotes I hear and other random things like good drink recipes and just a small bit of journaling to mark my headspace as I move closer to meeting my first child. I dunno I love sentimental crap.

Love the setup. Where did you buy the coin?

How long were you able to keep that watch on for your pic before you lost feeling in the hand?

  5. loqi0238

And are you local to where that company is based? We seem to have similar interests, may have crossed paths at some point.

That wrist strap is barely hangin on boy lol

I thought my watch was tight, I donโ€™t feel too bad now. But this is a really cool book! I want one

“Son, today I changed your thousandth diaper. It was somehow no better or worse than the first. It simply… is.” – Dad

Uhmm, can you still feel your hand, sir?

I love the contrasting colors on the leather. Beautiful.

Have you tried tightening your watch strap?

As a father of 3 teenagers, I say this with all due respect and love… they won’t give a shit. I’m sorry. Please don’t let this stop you from writing this stuff though. It will 100% be something you look back on and smile about and will love reading, but not your kids.

I guess someday when they’re grown and I’m old and grey they’ll look at it in a new light. I’m almost 40 and still have no desire to go back and look at the slideshows my dad made us watch with 200 pictures of him holding up a different fish, but I’m glad he has those pictures. I’ve shown my kids pictures of me in dozens of different countries, in front of the Colosseum in Rome, Petra in Jordan, videos of firefights in Afghanistan and other unnamed places, go-pro footage from helicopters and IED’s… Recently my daughter told her teacher that her dad was in the Army she thought. I was a Marine.

  13. I did the same, you have a great idea going here. After my dad passed, I found he wrote me letters, they are very hard for me to read, but when I miss him, I take the time and read them. They help me try to be the best parent I can be, by reminding me of what a great role model I had.

Your watch should let your hand take a breath

  15. Hey there! Great idea and nice setup!
A NATO strap would look good on that watch and they are also available in leather. Maybe you wanna try them and they could be more comfortable for you.
    Love my NATO straps. ๐Ÿ™‚

Inside the wrist and way to tight, looks so uncomfortable ๐Ÿ˜ but nice watch. Being a dad was a big challenge for be, probably bigger than your wirst (kidding). Enjoy it

Congratulations! I became a Dad 6 months ago and did the same thing. I doubt they will ever be worth reading but I enjoy it haha.

  18. Your watch looks like it could come loose; should probably tighten the strap.

I just started my first journal too.
