Just got this light in and had to do some mods. Love the rotary brightness adjustment. Doesn’t get quiiiite at low with the new emitter but it still goes lower than my Hank lights so I’ll live 😛

Got a 5 pack of pebbled TIR optics and ended up having to sand and hand fit it. Had to take material off the sides and bottom otherwise the bezel would crush it too much and crack it. I destroyed 2 in the process. The only way it would align for me was setting it into the reflector which is definitely not ideal, but the beam is nice so I am leaving it. Got from Ali this is the listing title “10/25/45/60degree TIR LED lens ,strip led lens for XML XML2 LED” I got the multi pack option. Pictured with what I believe is the 45.

Edit: [this](https://timmcmahon.com.au/posts/jetbeam-rrt01-519a-sm573-emitter-swap/) was VERY helpful on the emmiter swap itself. Pretty cramped in there but if you take your time it’s fine I am no expert. less is more on the solder so you stay clear of the wall. On the tir also go slow and test fit often so you don’t take too much material off and make it rattle on the inside. Make sure the bottom is as flat as possible , make sure the sides are as round as possible for even flat fit. Make sure it doesn’t extend past the reflector otherwise it will crack. Don’t force anything when tightening if you’ve fit it right there will only be a tiny bit of extra resistance.

Also added some nyogel 767a damping grease to the brightness encoder, added the perfect amount of smooth resistance.

Looks like it throws pretty well with the stock SMO reflector

The pebbled TIR should be more common, that smoothness is delightful. What’s the CCT of that 519a?
