Damn. That’s more than mildly infuriating. I was mad when Civivi sent me an elementum II with a dime sized scratch, but at least they sent me more than a box.
I bought a Kizer Comfort from them a couple months ago. The box was clearly opened before, because it was slightly torn in places you expect a box to be torn if it’s been opened by someone who isn’t being patient while opening it.
The knife was in good working order but I could tell from the edge that it was used a tiny bit. It was also missing one of the body screws. Fortunately Kizer’s customer service had no problem sending me a new set of screws. So I’m not unhappy with the purchase, but it clearly is indicative of something iffy happening with the way Mojave works.
What I think is that when Mojave does crazy sales on these knives, they are actually selling restocked products…this is possible because they use Amazon warehousing and Amazon doesn’t check returns for shit. Imo it’s very likely that your empty box was sent back as a “return” by a shitty person; then it was not checked by anyone at the Amazon warehouse, and then was just put back on the shelf and sent out again when you ordered it.
If I were you I’d try to just get a replacement. Especially if you used Amazon to buy it from Mojave, they make it pretty easy. I’ve never dealt with buying off Mojave’s website directly so I dunno about that.
If they sent you an empty box, I’m not sure Kizer themselves would be responsible for replacing it. But if Amazon or Mojave won’t fix it, you should certainly try Kizer. I’ve found their customer service to be pretty good.
I’ve bought +20 knives from Mojave, never an issue. It really does suck this happened but I can vouch that this is not the norm. Don’t let this affect your opinion of them.

I’ve ordered 4-5 knives from them, and this exact thing happened once – everything in the box except the knife. Sent it back with an explanation and they sent a new one right away. Maybe a warehouse thief…
Sorry that happened to you. It’s illegal and just plain wrong. Thanks for letting us know and seeing as how someone else commented they also received an empty box I will never use Mojave in the future that’s for sure even if they make it right as I don’t want any hassle and wasting of my time whatsoever when I spend my hard earned money.
