Ergonomically, I can’t think of a knife that could best it. The blade shape is a bit underwhelming from a strictly aesthetic POV, though.

That said, it sits at the top of the Spydie pile with the OG Slysz Bowie, and the Paysan for me.

    What is your top Spydie?

I’m a broke bitch and just picked up a LW, absolutely love the manix.

Cru-Wear Dragonfly. My favorite knife by a long shot. Won’t catch me without it.

The Chapparel is my go to Spidey, mostly because I’m a fanboy of cts-xhp steel.

I can’t say “best”, but my favorite to carry is my Caly 3 CF in ZDP-189.

  6. Is that the Flytanium Ti ball cage? I’m warming up to the Manix but it’s definitely a little more prescriptive in its ergonomics than I prefer. Aftermarket scales that eliminate the liners do wonders for the handle comfort imo.

love the manix but i prefer the para. if the para is a 9.5 the manix is a 9. just something about the blade to handle ratio on the manix.

My daily is usually an ikuchi cqi. I love the looks and feel of it. I snapped my first one, though, so i usually carry something more substantial on the other side. I love the manix, smock, chapparal, and techno 2. Or the mcbee when i want a small dress knife.

This is the best Spydie. If they made it stock with a metal bearing cage and some 3D contouring and a little slimmer and a bit smaller, it would be even better. Basically, I want a Mini Manix 2 with the same ergos😅

Depends how big your hands are. The Manix is awesome if you have larger hands, but for smaller hands there’s just more handle than necessary at the expense of cutting edge. My hands are just on the edge between small and medium, and finger choils are a waste of blade space on anything larger than a Chaparral for me.
