A friend of mine went to airport security with a kitchen knife in his backpack. He just forgot to take it out there and didnt have any bad intentions which is why he was scared shitless after he found it😅 to this day he has no idea how it wasnt found

Lucky they found it! All sorts of contaminants in the water these days.

Thank god for airport security, imagine the damage that could of been caused with that weapon of mass destruction. /s

I thought knives under 2 inches were permitted now?

Surprised they found it, I was in the airport bar waiting for my return flight and discovered a Kershaw in my carry on that got through both times.

I just want to EDC my cold steel boar spear on the plane. Is that too much to ask??

I always toss a folding knife in my finances luggage when we go places because she always checks her bags. Why risk losing a knife?

I love my Kershaw Scallion. Only thing I dislike is trying to sharpen the weird blade shape

That poor lady with the Kershaw. I feel for her. That moment when you realize that your checked luggage has headed off on the conveyor and your knife is still in your pocket. Oof. I guess she chose the wrong strategy to deal with it.

I managed to get through security in that situation a few months ago. I actually thought about buying a metal water bottle and trying this exact stunt, but in the end what I did was clip the knife through the lens hood of a 70-200 zoom lens in my camera bag, on the underside as it lay in the bag, so that in an x-ray from either direction it’d be masked by the steel lens body.

Security pulled me up for a bag search after I went through and I was like, welp, guess the game is up and now I get to explain that I’m not a terrorist, just a very silly boy, but the security lady just wanted to pull out a Bic lighter that I’d legit forgotten I’d left in a bag pocket.

Sent me on my way with my CRKT CEO still happily nestled under my lens in my bag. Probably helped that it’s such a skinny knife.

Not gonna try it again though.

I don’t know the rules but isn’t that knife allowed anyway since it’s small enough to fit in a water bottle sideways why hide it.

Good thing they got this now, and not all the potential threats that got through in their security tests.

    TSA agents don’t deserve happiness.
