What is your favorite knife or brand of knives to beat up at work? Mine has always been Kershaws, don’t like taking the spidercos or Benchmades to do real work lol.

My Chinese made Gerber knives do all the actual work.

That’s what’s in my pocket right now. Same color and everything.
That might be mine….

I imagine this knife already gets beat to shit, but seeing a blades edge face down on metal makes me cringe. Maybe I’m a little too obsessive with keeping the edge sharp.
umadbraugh
Kershaw skyline, spyderco tenacious.
CaRbZ1313
Kershaw with the fold out screwdriver bits on either side. Got my balls busted hardcore when I started carrying it, but now I can’t count the amount of times we needed to open a panel or something and everyone asks “you got that knife on you” to save a trip back to the shop.

I’ve put quite a hurting on my Gerber 06 over the years. S30V seems to hold up pretty well to scraping and prying.

For me it’s the Ontario RAT models.

I’m oldschool and my KA-BAR hasn’t failed me yet. That thing looks like shit after all the abuse but it’s easy to resharpen. My Sebenza is a close second. I got a fancy one so I still use it but baby it on the rough tasks.

I usually take my spyderco endura, manix, Caribbean, or maserin reactor to beat on.
I buy knives to use, i used to avoid beating on my expensive stuff, but i just take a tough fixed blades and leave it in my truck and carry my nice pocket knife too. I do use my folders for 90% of the work but im not gonna go beat the piss out of it and abuse it

Spyderco tenacious with the half serrated edge. Tough. Sharp. And easy to grip wearing gloves.

I also have a Blur in CPM M4 but I don’t beat on it much because it’s not pleasant to sharpen. For folders I have absolutely destroyed a Spyderco Resilience which served me well for years and have battered a Rat 2 pretty good. For fixed blades, I have a BK2 that I will use for anything and I usually have a few Mora’s around to beat on.
DarkwingDucky04
Gerber Gator clip point and CRKT M16-13ZLEK. EDC and used daily as a plumber. Both have held up great to years of real use and abuse.
Hohoholyshit15
All my knives get beat at work. My main rotation is my Civivi Elementum, Kershaw highball, Spyderco Dragonfly k390 and 10v Mini Sheepdog. No knife is safe!
FBI_VAN_1
I take my nicer knife (lately been my Manix 2) but I also take a Civivi Crit for cutting stuff I don’t want to cut with my “nicer knife” plus it has a pry tool/multi tool *thing.* I could fill the Crit’s spot with a SAK but I do like knowing that the Crit has a decent Nitro-V blade. I do cut 98% of stuff with my “nicer knife” though. I know I can just fix the edge at home, if anything. I mainly use the Crit for prying or flathead screwdriver stuff.
AceM722
Civivi Thug II.

I have a bunch of expensive knives but it’s always my Kershaw Leek or my CRKT Pilar that I carry.
Wolfman01a
Not the fanciest or most expensive but the Kershaw Ken Onion Blur with tanto blade has been my work knife for 17 years. Its a workhorse, holds a good edge and the flip is so satisfying.
Shlushii
My snap on dealer will warranty anything from crkt. Right now I’ve been kicking the shit out of either my brs replicant or this crkt clever girl.
Toxic_Whale
I rock a Civivi Elementum and an Esee Izula II as my EDC knives
Liltimmyjimmy
My work knife is a Gerber Sedulo. I got it for $8 at the state surplus store lol
Eric_86_Alexander
That a compressor your working on? Looks like the suction inlet to the first stage scrubber in the back ground.
FrontFit8861
Ditto on kershaw! All of my expensive knifes are fixed blades. Recently got a mini pry bar to help save knife tips.

Doesn’t every collection start out with at least one Blur? For many, its their first decent knife and a its a good one.

I’ve been carrying a Civivi Conspirator for a bit now. I work in a metal shop and have a Sheffield utility knife in my other pocket. $0.19 for throw away blades if I need to get ugly w something.
blue_diesel
I own a blacked out blur. It’s a good beater knife. Those grips were doing a number on my pants.
lukeulyptus
Once I started collecting CRKs my Para3 is my go to beater, used to be my CRKT M16.
