This is my first ever post to Reddit & wanted it to be the end of my knife collecting journey…please excuse the long exposition…

Since I was 10 I’ve always carried a knife but only got into collecting about 3 years ago when my brother decided to challenge my financial responsibility by showing me his 940. I’m definitely the type to become obsessive so when I realized I NEEDED a higher quality knife I had to design an out for myself.

I decided if I could get “one of each” I could get out so I (arbitrarily) created a matrix of 18 different blade shapes and started shopping.

I offloaded a couple along the way and tried to diversify the collection as much as possible. I had included the spyderco ‘leaf shape’ but I don’t like the modified wharncliff/extreme drop point shape as much as a straight edge so I dropped it for whatever the compound grind of the tracker would be.

The sheepsfoot is my favorite since I think it’s the least scary to outsiders; I got both a left & right handed chisel grind but when I was gifted the 940 I decided to mutilate the cormorant since I can’t have 2 spay blades and still needed a full sheepsfoot (my logic is clearly linear lol)…the Ti-rant V3 is my travel knife & I haven’t been able to gift the razelcliffe yet so I apologize to any OCD types (I feel your pain)!

Thank you Redditors who have been posting in the knife club for giving me a lot inspiration & I hope someone enjoys my post as much as I’ve enjoyed some of yours!
