Ever have a knife that you just plain like, but it isn’t very good? My current example is a Kershaw-Emerson CQC-11K.
The screws and or the standoff spacers are stripped, and the knife is so off center it rubs. I have spent so much time and effort to tune a $35 knife, and it still rubs.
But I just like the feel of the dang thing. Size, blade profile, the wave. Now I see the Kershaw-Emerson line is on the road to being discontinued, and made with D2 steel for now.
I’m throwing in the towel for now. Being a toddler dad, with another on the way, my free time to tinker is premium.
