Can anyone weigh in on this? I got it at an outlet store that had bought a ton of Gerber stuff when another local place had closed down. This was a display, no box or papers. I know Gerber didn’t make this model for long but I’ve never seen one marked “SALES SAMPLE ONLY.” Does anyone know what it might be worth?

Knife and sheath in excellent condition except for one thing: there are few scratches on one of the plastic detents inside the sheath because it is ridiculously easy to accodentally put the knife back in upside down.

    That’s a great find, congratulations!

I believe that Gerber introduced the LHR in late 2009 or early 2010. According to a March 2010 article in *Fighting Knives* magazine, It has a 6.18 inch blade of 420HC stainless steel and a sheath that made it difficult for an opponent to pull the knife out. Suggested retail at that time was around US$135-$150. I remember seeing mint examples with original packaging offered in the US$400-$500 range but don’t know whether any of them sold for that amount.

I’ve never seen one marked as a sales sample either. My guess is that they’re pretty scarce, but have no idea what the market value would be.
