Very late NLD – E75

I got a few lights that arrived a while ago that I forgot to write my NLD post about – and I finally decided to write an NLD post for one of them, E75.

    ##Do I like it?

Yes, about 9.2/10 on the Clicky scale

##What are the good things about E75?

    – They included a spare rubber USB port cover in the package. That is neat

    – VERY, Very good regulation and output for 519A light.

    – Good UI with a practical mode spacing

    – Very nice finish

    – Reflectors, not TIRs (personal bias? I think so)

    ##What was bad personally

    – Pocket clip placement. I am not a bezel-up enjoyer, so this pocket clip placement that I can’t reverse was not great. It is not a big deal since I am not going to pocket-carry this light though.

    – Double click to turbo doesn’t go directly to turbo, but blinks into memory mode on the first press, then turbo on the second press. I think this was done to minimise the delay for the light to turn on on the first press, as for “instant” turbo the system waits for the second button press to register(or not) before it decides on turbo/mode memory.

    – pointless battery indicator.

    – Protected 21700.

    – it is rather Chonky and hefty

    ##Overall

Great light that is exceptionally boring in a good way.

I think this is the best general-purpose 21700 light I have experienced so far. I love the reflector-based quad light here as I don’t care about the petal-like beam profile, and I love the defined hot spot from reflectors.

At the moment, this is my go-to backpack light or the light I will carry if I know that I will need the light.

Fireflylite X4 Stella is probably a better option for those who don’t mind TIR, but as someone who prefers reflectors E75 was truly enjoyable.
